Club Nàutic Sa Riera

The Yacht Club Sa Riera is a private and nonprofit sporting body with the target to promote and practice water sports. Its operation is inforce by democratic and representative principles, and full sovereignty resides in the General Assembly.

The Yacht Club Sa Riera is inforce by Law 8/1988 of sport in Catalonia, and other complementary provisions and by the Decree 145/1991 of July 7th. Also by its own statutes and internal regulations approved by the General Assembly. Alternatively, and as a member, the rules of the Catalan Sailing Federation are applied.

The Yacht Club Sa Riera is registered in the Register of Sports Entities of the General Secretariat of Sports of the Generalitat of Catalonia, according to the Resolution of the Director General of Sports dated September, 15th, 1992.

The Yacht Club Sa Riera is situated on the beach of Sa Riera, one of the largest beaches in Begur, and the closest to the town. Excellently located, with the sheltered Port d’Es Pi cove to the right, and the Rei cove to the left (from which you can reach, on foot by the coastal trail, the Illa Roja cove and the beaches of Platja del Racó and Pals).

Sa Riera, which takes its name from a stream dividing the beach in half, has kept its traditional character and offers a range of different sports activities and tourist services. There is a wide choice for visitors to stay in hotels or apartments, and various bars and restaurants to enjoy the gastronomy of the region. Moreover, in summer, this beach helds a traditional singing of “havaneres” (old sailor songs) on an incomparable setting.
